KiBO Graduates in Action
Veronica Ajok: Assistant Project Manager
A Sudanese refugee, Veronica Ajok came to Uganda and the KiBO Foundation looking for the fastest way out of Africa. KiBO taught Veronica critical project and financial management skills. Veronica is now an assistant project manager for a women’s organization in southern Sudan, where she has been promoted three times in a single year.
Jackie Adero: Entrepreneur
Sometimes when a door shuts, a window opens. Jackie Adero graduated from teaching school but couldn’t secure a job. KiBO gave her the skills and confidence to build a business. Today, Jackie owns a thriving bead-making business and teaches fellow KiBO alumni the art of bead-making – and she has recently been hired as a computer teacher/trainer at Kampala’s elite IZONE Institute!
Samuel Omeke: Working for AIDS Outreach
Samuel Omeke entered our ICT & Leadership program after completing university. A gifted communicator, Samuel knew that KiBO could give him the technical skills and experience he needed to develop his talents.
Immediately after graduation, Samuel secured an exciting job at a relief organization working in his rural East Uganda community. Today, Samuel is also a co-founder and board member of an exciting new AIDS outreach community on the islands near Kampala!
